Experience Uganda‘s best and unique safari. Our 12 days takes through Kibale for the greatest Chimpanzee experience, Semuliki for a unique night game drive which is very incredible searching the wild from scrubs. Down in To Queen Elizabeth for amazing wildlife and not to forget the memorable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi.
Day 1: Kampala-Kibale
Gorilla and wildlife safari’s driver/guide picks you at 7:30am from your Hotel drives you across several districts. Have a stopover in fort portal for Lunch at Traveler Hotel .After Lunch Proceed to Kibale through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. Meals and over night at Kyaninga Lodge (Lodge facility) or Mountains of the Moon (Mid Lodge) or Chimps Nest (Budget facility). A stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”. Meal plan:
Day 2: Kibale National Park
Precede for a half day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including phoestes, red colobus, blues, and red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. After Lunch, visit the Bigodi Wetland in search for the rare shore bill stork and other bird species. Meals and over night at Kyaninga Lodge (Lodge facility) or Mountains of the Moon (Mid Lodge) or Chimps Nest (Budget facility). Day 3: Kibale-Semuliki
After an early continental breakfast proceed with panoramic drive to Semuliki Wild reserve, enjoy game viewing enroute to the park together with the beautiful scenery of the country side vegetation. Have a stopover for your packed lunch in the lunch box Proceed to Semuliki check in Semuliki safari Lodge. Relax and refresh yourself as you get ready for the Night game drive which is very incredible searching the wild from scrubs and thickets. Overnight at Semuliki safari Lodge or Ntoroko Safari Lodge.
Day 4: Semuliki National park
After breakfast, get prepared for an early morning game drive for game viewing at 7:00am,animals to encounter include warthogs, antelopes, Bush bucks, among others. After the game drive return the lodge for breakfast, relax. After lunch go for a guided nature walk for photography. Overnight at Semuliki safari Lodge or Ntoroko Safari Lodge.
Day 5: Semuliki-Queen
After a morning cup of coffee, with panoramic view drive south wards. A game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. Check in the lodge for lunch. After lunch, take a two hour guides Nature walk chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Jacana Safari Lodge (High class accommodation)/ Budget at Mweya hostel, Institute of ecology or Simba Safari Camp.
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile makes visitors encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy your lunch ready for the a two hour boat trip along the famous Kazinga channel is worthwhile an opportunity to see Hippo, Buffalos, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge (Lodge Facility) or Enganzi Lodge (Mid Lodge) or Ihamba Safari Lodge Bandas (Budget Facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth
The day begins with an early breakfast, take guided primate walk along Kyambura Gorge to look for habituated chimps through the gorge. After primate walk, drive to Ishasha sector for Lunch at Ishasha wilderness camp. Spend your evening relaxing at the river banks overnight and dinner at Ishasha wilderness camp (Lodge facility) or Ishasha Ntungwe Camp (mid Lodge facility) or Savannah Resort hotel (budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 8: Queen-Bwindi
Enjoy a morning Breakfast, Take an early game drive to Ishasha sector in the search for the tree climbing Lions. After the game drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park check in Gorilla resort for lunch. After lunch .The afternoon is spent on a foot safari around the local communities living around the park. Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 9: Bwindi Forests
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high end lodge) or Sliver back Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Mid range) or Buhoma community Bandas/Wagtail Eco Camp (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 10: Bwindi-Mburo
Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery. The afternoon lunch is spent at Agip Motel Mbarara. Drive to Mburo Park After lunch prepare your selves for a boat ride where you will come to a close of crocodiles, hippos as well as birds including the pelicans, heron, and cormorants among others. Overnight at Mihingo Safari Lodge (High end Lodge) Lake Mburo Safari Lodge (Mid Lodge facility) or Eagles Nest Lake Mburo (Budget facility) Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 11: Mburo –Kampala
After breakfast make an early morning game drive in the park which is an is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs ,buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Drive to Kampala after lunch and a stopover is made at Equator Uganda. Dinner and overnight at Serena Kampala Hotel (High end) or Cassia Lodge (Mid range) or ken Rock Hotel (Budget end) for an overnight and dinner.
Day 12: Kampala –Entebbe Departures
After early breakfast, this day is dedicated for shopping around Kampala after lunch transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight back home. Meal plan. End of service.
