We visited just before the 2016 elections and felt safe as always. Wonderful to drive through the city at 10.00 at night and see the streets alive. So very different to SA.
Power still remains a challenge. But was only off for a few hours. Visiting the source of the Nile was good. And my guide was a nice young man. I visited the local village as well and learned about the food and culture.
I found the reptile park to be a waste of my time. But the guide there as well as good. It’s easy to get around Jinja you can walk everywhere which I did or you cant…
